Malawian artisans have centuries of tradition in craftsmanship using natural resources and generations of indigenous knowledge. Unfortunately, these cultural traditions, embedded in craftsmanship, are in danger of being lost.
Through collaboration with local workshops, these techniques are being revived through business innovation and changing consumer perceptions around the value of craftsmanship, through Design. A Circular Value Chain has been developed, creating social and economic opportunities for artisans at the bottom of the supply chain, while providing the market with much sought-after home decor and furniture.
